" Quality Above the Line"

I wanted to give the positive update on our first ROADM turn-up in the Bay at OAK 03.  Both East and West sides (2 Degrees) passed with no major issues.  Including training, the T&A was completed in two days.  Keith Braccialini was on site from the Cisco side along with Geoffrey Chan and Lynette Greenlief from AT&T.

Keith mentioned that Geoffrey and Lynette had no problem picking up the 15454 ROADM technology and both agreed that their extensive experience with 15454 SONET deployments helped.

I also want to give a complement to Stockton for their installation job.  Keith has now been on over 30 15454 ROADM turn-ups across California and he said this OAK03 installation job is the best one yet.  Even more impressive knowing it’s their first one.  We will be in good shape if this quality install can be replicated across the bay.

Under Yvonne Quall’s lead along with the associated processes and structures in place, we should have the necessary pieces in place to successfully complete the entire first phase of the bay network….. from a Vendor’s point of view.
